A lawyer who suffered a stroke and had to miss court was told off by a judge who found him in "contempt of court".
Claiming that this was "not the first time" lawyer Matt Tucker had failed to appear in court, harsh judge Shana Rooks Malone claimed to not believe him.
Tucker was given a verbal lashing after failing to appear at court to be present for jury selection for client Hannah Payne, who was accused of killing Kenneth Herring, 62, back in 2019.

Despite informing the court of his absence following a stroke, Judge Malone was having none of it and said there was "no indication" that Tucker was ill.
In a damning statement to court, which was broadcast live on air, Judge Malone said: "'There, however, is no indication that he had a stroke, so I cannot go forward with the trial today because Miss Payne is not represented.
"I am going to find that Mr. Tucker is in contempt of court [because] he failed to follow the rules of court and notifying the court.
"I am going to also file grievance with the State Bar of Georgia because of his behavior. This is not the first time I've had an issue with him failing to come and come on time."
Tucker struggled to find the words for the tongue lashing but later said it made him "look real bad" live on air.

He added that he was "astonished" to hear Judge Malone find him in contempt of court, and seemed very confused by her ruling.
Tucker said: "I’ve never lied to the court. I’m an officer of the court. It is not a disservice. We've been waiting on this trial for three years."
Despite his claim of being hospitalised with a stroke, Judge Malone suggested client Payne seek a counsel who is "going to be diligently representing you" ahead of her trial in the shooting of Herring.
Payne has been accused of shooting the grandfather while attempting to make a citizens arrest following a minor hit and run incident, DailyMail reported.
