The leader of a black choir that sang at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding said Prince Charles personally invited the group – and defended the "gracious" royal.
Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of the Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ that the Prince of Wales congratulated them after the wedding.
During the 2018 ceremony, Karen and her London-based gospel group performed Ben E King classic Stand By Me at Windsor Castle.
She made the comments about Charles after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In it, Meghan said a royal had expressed concerns about how dark Archie’s skin would be.
They later clarified the comments were not made by the Queen or Prince Philip, fuelling further speculation.
Karen was full of praise for Prince Charles and said every interaction between them was "gracious".
On Thursday, March 11, Prince William insisted the royals are "very much not a racist family" during a visit to a school in east London.
He also confirmed he had not spoken to his brother since the broadcast, but planned to.

On Tuesday, March 9,Charles was pictured for the first time after the interview was broadcast.
He was snapped on a visit to Jesus House church in Brent, north London, to see an NHS vaccine pop-up clinic in action.
Charles chuckled when asked if he had seen Harry and Megan's interview with Oprah.
As he left the clinic, one reporter asked: "Sir, what did you think of the interview?"

After turning to see who had called out, he laughed and carried on walking.
However, a source told US Weekly that he was unimpressed with the broadcast.
They said: "Charles does not agree with Harry trashing his whole family in public.
"Charles thinks these matters could have easily been addressed in private."
They claimed that Charles and William "feel that this is the first of many interviews coming in the future that will bash the crown and the royals' way of life".

After days of silence, the Queen released a short statement in response reading: "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.
"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning.
"While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.
"Harry, Meghan andArchiewill always be much-loved family members."
