Little boy, 3, run down and killed by ride-on lawn mower driven by dad as cops investigate tragedy | The Sun

A LITTLE boy was run down and killed by a ride-on lawn mower driven by his dad in a horror accident that has sparked a police probe.

The tragic incident happened in South Pambula, Australia, at the weekend.


According to local media, the three-year-old child was allegedly struck by the heavy garden machine numerous times.

At around midday on Saturday, cops were called to the property, about 328 miles south of Sydney, where the boy had suffered severe injuries.

An ambulance crew and paramedics were on scene and rushed the boy to Pambula District Hospital.

However, despite desperate resuscitation attempts by medics the child later died.

A police spokesman said: "He [the father] reversed over the poor child.

"He didn't see him.

"I don't think anything you could do to the father would change the way he feels unfortunately.

"It's unusual, it's not a death that's caused by natural causes so that's why we're doing what we're doing."
