AT least three people have been killed and four others injured in a Los Angeles shooting after a weekend of horrific gun violence across several US cities.
Police raced to a home in Los Angeles at around 2.30am on Saturday after receiving a report of an "assault with a deadly weapon," according to cops.
Officers found five people that had been shot, at the home just outside of Beverly Hills, California in the Beverly Crest community.
A total of seven people were discovered at the scene with gunshot wounds.
Three of those victims died at the scene and four others were taken to the hospital, police say.
Two of the injured victims are in critical condition and the other two are stable.
Police said the home is a short-term rental property and that they are interviewing additional occupants of the house.
The U.S. Sun reached out to LAPD for a comment, but they said there is no additional information available at this time.
This has been the third mass shooting in the Golden State this week since gunman Huu Can Tran, 72, shot and killed 11 people celebrating the Lunar New Year at a dance studio in Monterey Park on January 21, before fatally shooting himself.
On Monday, seven people were killed in a shooting on farms in Half Moon Bay in northern California, before suspect Chunli Zhao, 67, was taken into custody.

Later that night, another eight people were shot in a separate incident in Oakland.
One of the victims, an 18-year-old, died and the other seven were injured but in stable condition.
