A MAN has been arrested after a baby tragically died in hospital.
Emergency services raced to a home in Blaby, Leicestershire, after reports a baby was unwell.
The infant was rushed to hospital, where it later died.
The horror unfolded on Sunday, January 15, and at the time police said the unwell child had been taken to hospital for treatment.
Cops also said they were supporting "other agencies".
Officers have today said the baby, whose age and sex have not been confirmed, had passed away.

A 31-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm or death has been released on police bail.
A woman, 32, was also voluntarily interviewed under caution.
The circumstances of how the baby became unwell and what caused the death are under investigation.
Officers have urged people not to speculate.

Leicestershire Police said: "A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing/allowing a child to suffer serious physical harm or death and has been released on police bail.
"A 32-year-old woman was voluntarily interviewed under caution in connection with the incident.
"The circumstances of this incident, how the baby became unwell, and what caused the death, are under investigation and we would ask people not to speculate about what has happened."
