Man, 36, appears in court charged with murder of 'fantastic' mum-of-two Sarah Henshaw who was found dead in lay-by | The Sun

A MAN has today appeared in court charged with murdering a mum-of-two who was found dead in a lay-by.

Police launched a search for Sarah Henshaw, 31, after she vanished from her home in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, on Friday.


Her body was discovered just after midnight on Monday in a lay-by on the A617 near Chesterfield.

Darren Hall, 36, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court today charged with murder.

Members of Sarah's family watched from the public gallery during the brief hearing.

Wearing a dark grey tracksuit, Hall spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.

Hall, of Ilkeston, was remanded into custody to next appear at Derby Crown Court on June 30.

Following her tragic death, Sarah's mum Lorraine paid tribute to her first born child, who she said was "a wonderful daughter and sister".

She added: "She was also a fantastic mum to her two girls, who she loved so much.

“Sarah would always put others first and was always incredibly kind.
