Man, 75, charged after allegedly sexually assaulting boy at Central Station

A 75-year-old man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage boy in a toilet at Central Station over the weekend.

The 15-year-old boy was allegedly stopped by the man in the bathrooms about 3pm on Saturday and was assaulted in the Country Concourse toilets.

The boy told his mother who reported the incident to police.

As part of the investigation, police conducted a search warrant at the man’s unit in Mortdale, in Sydney’s south, following the alleged assault. Clothing and electronic devices were seized.

He was arrested and taken to Kogarah police station where he was charged with aggravated sexual intercourse with a child between 14 and 16 years and intentionally sexually touching a child between the ages of 10 and 16 years.

He was refused bail and will appear at Sutherland Local Court on Monday.
