Man arrested after woman 'raped in her own home by intruder in horror late night attack' | The Sun

A MAN has been arrested after a woman was allegedly raped by an intruder in her own home.

The alleged attack is said to have unfolded on Charleston Road North in the Cove area of Aberdeen on Saturday night.

It is claimed an intruder broke into a home around 9:15pm and raped a woman in her 30s.

Cops launched a hunt and carried out extra patrols following the alleged incident.

Detectives even appealed for witnesses following the alleged attack and scoured CCTV footage.

Police Scotland has now confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the alleged rape.

The national force announced this morning that they had nicked a 31-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident.

Officers said they are still working in the area and the investigation is still ongoing.

A force spokesperson said: " A 31-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into a serious sexual assault of a woman in the Cove area of Aberdeen.

"The incident happened around 9.15pm on Saturday, June 10 2023 at a property on Charleston Road North.
