Man charged with taking intimate photos without consent on Sydney beaches

Police have charged a man with taking intimate photos of women on beaches in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, alleging he did so on at least two occasions in recent weeks.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were called to Bronte beach about 3pm on Saturday after lifeguards spoke to a man who was found to have intimate images of women on his mobile phone, alleged to have been taken that afternoon.

Further inquiries have led police to allege a number of other images and videos were taken at Bondi Beach about 2.45pm on Saturday, November 19.

The identity of the women is unknown.

Officers arrested the man and took him to Waverley Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

He appeared before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday.

Investigations are continuing.
