A man was left with severe head injuries and is fighting for his life in a Bronx hospital after he was kicked and punched in a fight about a minor vehicle accident overnight, police said.

The 42-year-old victim is likely to die after the overnight attack, police said. He was taken by medics to St. Barnabas Hospital with severe head trauma after two attackers kicked and punched him in his body and head at 3:38 a.m. Sunday at Carter Ave. and E. 176th St., cops said Sunday morning.

Another victim, a 37-year-old man, was taken to Lincoln Hospital to be treated for lacerations in his face, according to the NYPD.

Police said they arrested two men, ages 27 and 29, in the potentially deadly assault, at the scene of the crime.
