He was taken to Paisley’s Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment after emergency services were called on Sunday at about 5.55pm.

The 18 hole golf course is more than 125 years old and its website boasts a ‘scenic, tree lined parkland course’ with a variety of ‘spectacular’ trees and fauna.
Membership at the club is reasonably affordable, with the most expensive price for full access to the course for a whole year being £830 – the average price in England is around £900.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton, of Paisley CID, said it was ‘it’s imperative we trace whoever is responsible’.
‘We believe the area would have been quite busy with golfers and would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch,’ he said.
‘If you were in the area at the time, please think back and get in touch with us if you have any information which may be able to assist our investigation.’
The current health status of the man who was injured yesterday has not yet been updated by police.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact officers on 101, quoting incident 2784 of Sunday May 1.
