Carefree Mark Zuckerberg takes his foil board for a spin in Hawaii
- Tech mogul Mark Zuckerberg, 37, was spotted getting towed into the Pacific by a jet ski Sunday as he endeavored on his latest foil session adventure
- The Facebook founder is spotted frequently on the Hawaiian island, where he was photographed during two consecutive weekends last month with his wife
- During his latest outing, he appeared relaxed as he was towed on his foil board through the water, wearing a special ankle bracelet to keep sharks away
- It’s not clear what part of the island he was on, although he owns hundreds of acres of land on Kauai
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was spotted Sunday in Hawaii, where the billionaire appeared relaxed as he headed out for a foil session.
It’s the third time in a month that the multi-billionaire was seen soaking up the sun in the Aloha State.
During his latest island adventure, the 37-year-old Zuckerberg watched as two aides appeared to prepare a hydrofoil surfboard for use on an undisclosed beach.
In a second image, he’s seen glancing backward while straddling a jet ski towing the board. He’s wearing an ankle bracelet that appears to be a Sharkbanz, which uses magnetic technology to keep sharks away.

Once at appropriate depths, Zuckerberg separated his board from the jet ski and held onto a rope as it pulled him along.

Zuckerberg was accompanied by a man and woman, who remained on the jet ski while he towed behind.
Despite his fortune, he kept his attire simple, wearing coral-colored shorts and a pair of Adidas slides that retail for just $25.
Beat of Hawaii reported in April that Zuckerberg purchased 600 more acres on the isle of Kauai, where he had been pictured hydrofoiling over the summer.

The property was apparently sold a month prior for over $50 million by a local family which can trace its ownership back to the Kingdom of Hawaii.
With the 600 additional acres, Zuckerberg now currently owns total of over 1,300 acres on Kauai.
Last month, Zuckerberg was photographed during two consecutive weekends playing around with his water toys.

Zuckerberg reportedly purchased 600 more acres on Kauai, where he had been pictured hydrofoiling over the summer. He now owns more than 1,300 acres on Hawaii’s fourth-largest island
On one occasion he was pictured riding a jet-ski with his wife Priscilla Chan, enjoying his hydrofoil surfboard and strolling along the sandy beaches.
A foilboard is similar to a traditional surfboard, but is equipped with a hydrofoil that lifts the board a few feet above the water.
Foiling is a popular pastime for Zuckerberg, who’s been spotting catching waves in Hawaii on numerous occasions.
It wasn’t always smooth sailing for the tech mogul, however.
Last December, an animated Zuckerberg was seen flapping his arms frantically as he honed his hydrofoiling skills in Hawaii, before wiping out in spectacular fashion.
It was the second time in just over a month that was seen having fun in the water on his $12,000 Efoil board, which allows users to glide above the water of speeds up to 25mph.
The billionaire appeared to have gone easy on the sunscreen, unlike in July 2020 when he was snapped with his face completely covered in white lotion, with the image quickly going viral
In July 2020, Zuckerberg became the laughing stock of the Internet when images merged of him plastered in sunscreen while surfing in Hawaii.
The photos sparked memes and jokes from social media users who labeled him a ‘mime surfer’ and wondered whether Zuckerberg was taking styling advice from a snake.
He claimed this year that he ‘put a ton of sunscreen on my face’ in a plan that ‘backfired’ to avoid being recognized.
