Maya Millete cops admit 'frustrations' three months on from mom's disappearance with STILL no search location pinpointed

THE cops investigating Maya Millete's disappearance admitted being frustrated three months after she vanished without a trace.

In a Wednesday update, police said one of the frustrating aspects of the case is that there is "no specific region or location identified to be searched."

Millete, a 39-year-old mother of three, vanished from her home in Chula Vista, California, on January 7 and has not been heard from since.

As stated in the Wednesday update, authorities still have no idea of her whereabouts despite interviewing nearly 50 friends, family members, neighbors and witnesses, executing a dozen search warrants, and reviewing over 40 tips.

Earlier this year, Millete's husband, Larry Millete, reportedly stopped cooperating with police.

The mom had reportedly had a meeting scheduled with a divorce attorney on the day she vanished.

This week, Fox News cited a source who claimed that Larry suspected his wife was having an affair, and spoke about paying someone $20,000 to take him out in a murder-for-hire plot.

He allegedly began plotting the hit last summer, when he first began to suspect his wife was involved with someone else — but mentioned it as recently as January 4, just days before his wife disappeared.

According to her brother-in-law Richard Drouaillet, Larry and Maya's marriage had been on the rocks in the past year.

Richard said Larry had contacted her family for help to fix their relationship during 2020.

He told Fox News: "He was more of an aggressor, trying to get us involved.

"He was trying to get us on his side, when we felt like it was a lot of lies that he was telling us."

Late in summer 2020, Druaillet said he had an hour-long phone call with Larry.

"He just sounded desperate, you know, 'You gotta listen to me. It's her fault, it's her fault,'" he added.

Larry also sent Maya's family members increasingly bizarre texts throughout 2020, Billy Little, an attorney working for the family, said.

One image, sent to the family in September, shows what appears to be an altar covered in blood splatter and surrounded by candles.

Millete also reportedly told family members recently that "if anything happened to" her, "it would be Larry."

Still, police confirmed on Wednesday — which marked three months since Millete disappeared — that they had no suspect and no leads that could be shared publicly.

The investigation is ongoing.
