Meghan Markle is said to have had "no idea" that her children would receive new Royal titles in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II's death.
Prince Harry and Meghan's children, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor both received new titles under long-held traditions of the Royal Family.
With the ascension of King Charles, both Archie and Lilibet found themselves with new titles, with His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness respectively due to the changes to the line of succession.

The titles given to Archie and Lilibet come from a tradition started by George V, which hands the title to the grandchildren of a residing monarch.
But the title change for the Duchess of Sussex's children appears to have surprised her, with Meghan claiming there had been "conversations" about the titles prior to Charles' ascension.
Speaking to Oprah Winfrey during an interview, Meghan said: "I think even with that convention I’m talking about, while I was pregnant, they said they want to change the convention for Archie.
"All the grandeur around this stuff is not really important to me.
"But in those months when I was pregnant, all around same time: we have in tandem he won’t be given security, a title and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born."

Potential guideline changes were chewed over at the time of the interview and may still be subject to change, news.com.au reported.
Any sitting monarch may change the guidelines of his predecessor, with King Charles III within his right to change the ruling on the grandchildren receiving royal titles.
King Charles III made reference to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in his first address to the nation, where he expressed his love for the pair, but made no mention of potential title changes for the pair or their children.
He said: "I want to also express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas."
