Brits are set to be battered by heavy snow by the end of next month, the Met Office have warned, with an end in sight to the relatively warm weather.
Those in parts of the UK enjoying a particularly unique wave of Indian summer weather will soon see a milder end to October and a bleaker-looking November.
Snow showers are set to hit across the country by the end of November, with the Met Office saying the "unseasonably warm" season is coming to an abrupt end.

Despite temperatures looking likely for a peak of 21C on Thursday and 20C on Friday, colder, blustery winds and even snow are set to follow.
Unsettled conditions will likely bring about winds, showers and even a bit of snow, with colder nights of mid-November bringing mist, fog and frost.
Some parts of the country are set to be hit worse than others, with the north and west of the country in particular needing to prepare themselves for snow showers.
The Met Office's long range forecast for November 9 to 23 reads: "Unsettled conditions are expected to continue at first, with further heavy rain possible.
"An increasing chance of settled weather from mid-month, bringing a potential for colder, drier weather especially for the north and west."

It comes as the Met Office report a "risk of chilly nights with mist, frost and fog in places, with some snow possible in any showers in northern and western areas".
Those in "high ground" may also find themselves susceptible to snowy showers as October comes to and end.
But the weeks leading up to this snowy period are no better, with the Met Office reporting "very mild" conditions between October 30 and November 8, with "showers for many, likely heavy for some".
The Met Office also warned that it could be "particularly unsettled" at times throughout the north and west.
