A MET Police officer has revealed she fell prey to serial rapist David Carrick — but feared she would not be believed.
She said she was flattered by the firearm officer’s initial advances.
But Carrick, now 48, later lured her to his home in Tooting, South London, and raped her.
The incident happened in 2004 and the woman said the culture within London’s police service prevented her from speaking out.
They even continued to work alongside another for a fortnight before she moved departments.
She told the Times: “It’s not because I didn’t want to, I didn’t think I would be believed.”

Earlier this month Carrick admitted more than 80 sex offences, including 48 rapes, over 20 years.
His accuser described him as “the guy who would slap a woman’s a*** as they walked past or blow kisses”.
The woman said: “Carrick raped me a long time ago and I put all those feelings to bed.
“I didn’t see myself as a victim because I was a police officer.

Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said hundreds of officers need to be thrown out for misconduct.
He also apologised to the ex-officer’s victims and admitted the force failed to “join the dots”.
Carrick will be sentenced next month.
