Queensland has recorded no community transmission of COVID-19 on Good Friday, a day after the greater Brisbane region was seeing out the last hours of a snap three-day lockdown.
Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said there were eight new cases of coronavirus in Queensland overnight, with seven in hotel quarantine.

One was a historical case, which was believed to be the missing link to the first original cluster recorded at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in early March.
Chief Health Officer Jeannette Young said the historical case was a nurse who was infected from an overseas traveller.
The traveller, a man who came from Europe, also infected the doctor at PA Hospital.
The nurse, who had no symptoms, then unknowingly spread it to her partner.
Dr Young said her partner was friends with the man in north Brisbane who was found positive and sparked the original cluster.
She said it was an enormous relief to find the missing link.
The nurse, who was not vaccinated, was infectious between March 10 to March 23.
When asked whether she was confident the PA Hospital cluster was contained now the missing link was found, Dr Young said she was “not totally confident”.
“I won’t be totally confident until everyone is vaccinated,” she said.
“You really and truly don’t know there isn’t another case … that’s why we need to maintain our restrictions and mask-wearing for another 14 days.
“I declare a cluster over two incubation periods after the last case.”
Dr Young said people still needed to be careful over the next 14 days.
Greater Brisbane residents were on Thursday free to travel across the state and cross some domestic borders after the region’s three-day lockdown ended.
