A savage dog attack left a woman needing more than 70 stitches on her face.
Police said the victim was leaning over a wall when a man walked past with a dog on a chain outside a house in Blackpool.
The canine, which the force described as a tan or brown coloured, leapt to the woman's face and bit her multiple times.

The woman, who is in her 40s, was left with a "serious injury" and was rushed to a hospital where she received more than 70 stitches.
Footage released by Lancashire Constabulary showed the man, in black clothing and jeans, fleeing in the direction of Queen Street.
He was seen walking his dog on a large chain.
Police described the man in his 30s as they are looking to speak to anyone with information or who identifies the man or dog in the footage.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "We are appealing for information to identify this man after a serious dog attack in Blackpool.
"Around 11pm on November 1, the victim, a woman in her 40s, was stood outside an address in Lord Street. The woman was leaning over a wall as a man walked past with a dog on a chain.
"The dog jumped up, biting the woman’s face causing serious injury.
"She was taken to hospital and needed more than 70 stitches to help treat her injuries.
"The man made off from the scene in the direction of Queen Street."
Earlier this month, a 28-year-old woman was mauled to death while walking several dogs in Gravelly Hill, Caterham, Surrey on January 12.
She died at the scene despite emergency services rushed to treat her injuries.
One witness said of the horrifying scene: "This vision will haunt me for a long time."
Inspector Lyndsey Whatley, Borough Commander for Tandridge, said: "This is a tragic incident where a young woman has sadly lost her life and our thoughts are with her family and friends."
