LONDONERS can expect gales to calm overnight resulting in a dry start to the week with some light wind and sunny spells.
Another mild day with temperatures reaching a maximum of 12°C.

Heavy winds will begin to clear as we make our way into the new week.
Outbreaks of rain is likely to spread east, turning heavy and persistent in places.
Northwest of the capital is likely to stay mainly dry with rain also clearing in the southeast leaving a largely dry day with sunny spells.
Cloud will increase from the west later in the afternoon which may bring in a few showers.

This period will begin with a fine day on Friday, with some showers expected in the north and east.
A spell of wet and windy weather is likely to spread to most parts of the country on Saturday however, with cloud over the west in particular.
Sunday will see predominantly sunshine and showers.
Further showers or longer spells of rain and strong wind at times with gales in some places is likely from then on.
It will be turning colder, with showers turning wintry at times, especially in the north.
In the middle of the month, weather remains unsettled with spells of wet and windy weather interspersed by brighter, colder and showery interludes.

The west will see the heaviest of rainfall, with snow likely over higher ground in parts of the north.
Temperatures will be varied from day to day, colder than average conditions will be interspersed by spells of milder temperatures.
There is a chance that weather systems become slow-moving during this period.
This will bring the increased chance of longer drier spells of weather at times.
