A FURIOUS mum has slammed her son's school for serving up the "worst Christmas dinner ever".
Outraged Emma shared a picture of the pathetic meal her son, 15, was given at Steyning Grammar School in West Sussex – branding the £3.50 dish "disgusting".
The snap shows a sad offering of a single pig in blanket, a tiny square of stuffing, and a few slithers of turkey slapped on a dry roll on a paper plate alongside a small mince pie.
Shocked by what her year 11 pupil son was dished up, Emma blasted the school for making her fork out £3.50 for it.
She told The Sun Online: "Prisoners get fed better than this.
"Personally I would have rather have bought my son a Christmas meal deal from Tesco.
"Apparently some children said they enjoyed it, but I think it's ridiculous, as do many other parents.
"I actually thought this was a joke when I first saw it."

Despite her fury, Emma was told by the school that she would not be getting a refund.
An email from a staff member, seen by The Sun, said: "We are sorry that you feel the Christmas meal was of poor quality.
"The overall feedback from the students was that they really enjoyed it and this was evidenced by the empty plates and happy faces."
The worker added that if her son had flagged the issue at the time, someone "would have been happy to assist".

"When deciding on the meal, we took students views and they did not want a traditional meal so we came up with the alternative version which was clearly communicated in the letter," the email continued.
"As we have bought the items and students have eaten them, then there will not be any refunds."
Other horrified parents took to social media to hit out at the mediocre meal, sharing photos of their children's "disgraceful snack" – which in some cases saw the mince pie replaced with a Cadbury's Mini Roll.
One commented: "Was it a 'trial' for I'm A Celeb?"
Another joked: "I think this photo ought to be sent to Jamie Oliver."
A third said: "I am really upset by this. Is this really the food I'm paying for?
"Here I was thinking a pack lunch would be a poor substitute for a cooked meal at school."
"The empty plates would've been because they were hungry. What did they expect them to do? Starve?," a fourth wrote.

Others branded the dinner "diabolical" and "daylight robbery" and agreed the kids would have been better off grabbing a 99p hamburger from McDonald's.
Steyning Grammar School declined to comment.
And it's not just the school suffering a kitchen nightmare, as Gordon Ramsay has been mercilessly mocked for serving up gravy that looks like "dishwater"
The firebrand chef was roasted by food lovers as he showed off a turkey wellington dish available at his restaurants as a festive alternative.
A video showed off the meal, which also features apricot stuffing, pigs in blankets, Brussels sprouts and cranberry sauce.
But fans spoke of their shock after watching as gravy was poured over the meal.
One raged: "Call that gravy? It looks like dishwater."
"Come on man – get a grip, that's not gravy," another said.
