Mum-of-two found stabbed to death in London after she failed to pick up her boys from primary school

A MUM was found stabbed to death at home after she failed to pick her two sons up from school, horrified neighbours say.

The woman, who has not been named, was discovered in the house in Bethnal Green, East London, at around 4.05pm yesterday.

No arrests have been made and her death is being treated as suspicious.

Neighbours say two teachers raised the alarm when she failed to pick her two young sons, who are in reception and year 5, from primary school.

One local, 67, said: "I know she was supposed to pick up her children, two young boys, from the local school but did not come so they raised the alarm.

"The two teachers came over here with the officers when they crashed through the door.

Another neighbour, 44, said: "I did hear something in the afternoon, maybe about 2pm, I heard a male voice go 'you're not getting in, you're not getting in'

"I don't know what happened, or even if it was connected.

"I heard screaming, I heard shouting, but that's quite normal for around here.

"But the next thing I know that same flat was getting the door smashed through by police later that day."

Police confirmed the victim was declared dead at the scene after being found with stab injuries.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The Met added: "The death is being treated as suspicious and detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command have been informed.
