Mum's agony at schoolgirl, 16, who vanished after phoning to say she had been robbed a WEEK ago

A DESPERATE mum has appealed for help in finding her teenage daughter who vanished after ‘being robbed’ on a day out in London.

Morgan Williams – who only turned 16 in December – told her mum Tania Findlay that she was on her way home after seeing friends and needed to be picked up from a train station.

But Tania, 34, didn’t hear from the schoolgirl again for 24 hours – when she messaged her mum to say she had been robbed.

Now a week later project manager Tania said she is at her “wits end” after launching a desperate hunt for her young daughter.

Speaking to Sun Online Tania, from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, said: “Morgan had been with friends in Elephant and Castle in London for the day."

Tania added: “She called me in the evening to say she was on her way home and needed picking up from the train station.

“When I hadn’t heard from her by 7pm I tried texting and calling but there was no answer. By 8pm her phone was off. We called the police immediately.”

Only child Morgan – who is studying for her GCSEs – was due home last Monday. She messaged her mum on Facebook the following evening to say she had been robbed.

Tania added: “We didn’t hear anything until the next day when she messaged me to say she had been robbed and so she had stayed at a friend’s house.

“She said ‘I’m alright. I stayed at a friend’s house last night because I was robbed.

“She said she had got off the bus and was robbed.”

Since then she has been seen on CCTV outside a bar in Dalston, North London over the weekend.

Tania added: “We have no idea where she is or what is happening.

“There was no row or no argument. There was no reason she would go missing.

“She has no money with her, she didn’t take any clothes.

“We are heartbroken. We just need to know she is ok and that she is safe.”

Morgan is described as black, 5 ft 2ins, of slim build, has dark brown long curly hair and has freckles on her cheeks.

She was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, a Nike jumper, was possibly wearing black trainers and was carrying a cream-coloured holdall.

Thames Valley Police has since issued an appeal to help trace the teen.

Investigating officer Sgt Hayley McEvoy, leading the search, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about Morgan’s whereabouts as we are understandably concerned for her due to her age and the length of time she has been missing.

"If anyone recognises someone fitting Morgan’s description, please come forward and speak to officers.

“Morgan, if you see this appeal, you are not in any trouble however please call the police so we can check you are ok.”

Anyone with any information about Morgan’s whereabouts should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
