My neighbour battered my car with a pick-axe handle in drunk rage after ‘petty’ row about loud music – it's outrageous

THIS is the shocking moment that a furious woman went berserk and smashed her neighbour’s car with a huge pick-axe handle in a drunken parking row.

Annette Kealy, 56, downed whiskey and wine before using the three-foot piece of wood across the bonnet and windscreen of a Ford Focus in Worcester.

Horrified Richard Breakwell, 55, watched on helplessly as his fuming neighbour battered his car deliberately before assaulting him.

Kealy only stopped her angry tirade when her boyfriend intervened, leading her away from the scene.

She pleaded guilty to three counts of criminal damage after the incident in February, and also admitted assaulting Mr Breakwell.

Speaking to The Sun Richard said: “I couldn't believe what I was seeing. She had this big bar of wood and was going mad smashing up cars.

“She was repeatedly smashing the bonnet and window and shouting ‘I’m going to do the rest of them.’ “

Car valeter Richard, who lives in a flat above Annette and her boyfriend Peter Bishop, was left “gutted” by the damage to his car.

Richard also denied Kealy’s claims that he was “intimidating” her, admitting that they had rows in the past but he had not confronted her over the incident.

He added: “My car was parked at the side and I was worried she may do mine too so I ran downstairs. She was hitting the bonnet and I said ‘Stop doing that! It’s out of order. I’m going to call the police.’

“She hit the windscreen, the pillar and bonnet four, five or six times. She was shouting and swearing at me.

“Then her boyfriend came out and tried to stop her but she was determined.

“She was on a mission and wouldn’t stop. But he finally grabbed her and took her inside.

“It cost £600 to replace and I had to pay the £95 excess. I’m living on benefits and can’t afford to get the other repairs done estimated at nearly £1,000. I’ll have to put up with a ruined bonnet.

“The excess on my insurance is the same amount she got fined which seems very unfair.

“I don’t know what made her so mad. I don’t understand it. There is no designated parking so we can park in whichever space is available.

“I want to forgive her because we all make mistakes but we should have received an apology which none of us have. Now she’s got a criminal record.

“We’ve had rows in the past over my music, which she complained was too loud. Just the odd ding ding but no fisticuffs.”

Jobless Kealy deliberately damaged two other cars in the row which erupted over parking –  a grey Honda CVR owned by Bruce Powell and John Spinetto’s white Audi A3.

She reportedly caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to all of the vehicles which were parked legally.

She was fined £200 by Worcester Magistrate’s Court last week and ordered to pay £100 to each of the victims for damaging their vehicles plus an extra £50 to Mr Blackwell.

Retired bus driver Bruce Powell, 71, told how he heard “lots of banging” before realising his Honda CVR 4×4 suffered £2,500 worth of damage.

Bruce, 71, said: “My car was the first one attacked. It was pathetic behaviour.

“She doesn’t like me and it was all over me parking in a space she believed should only be used by her boyfriend.

“It all kicked off after she threw him out and then they got back together.

"She’s only a tiny woman, not even five foot tall, and she couldn’t reach the bonnet but she managed to smash it and caused enough damage.

She was repeatedly smashing the bonnet and window and shouting ‘I’m going to do the rest of them.’

“I didn’t see it happen, only the aftermath. She’s not a dragon but I think he is. I’d heard all the banging but didn’t go out as I was too scared.

“I won’t have it repaired yet because I haven’t got the money to.”

Former music teacher John Spinetto had his Audi targeted, adding: “I’m very disappointed, shocked and angry.

“I think she was drunk at the time and she thought her boyfriend should be able to park where he wants as they’ve lived here the longest

“She dented the passenger door, driver’s wing and windscreen and I’ve got to pay the £500 excess for a £2,700 repair bill which I can’t afford on my pension.

“I never expected anything like this to happen. We’re all neighbours and need to get on.”

The Sun tried to approach Annette for comment, but were told to “f*** off” by her partner.
