A MAN was refused entry to his luxury hotel dinner because his shoes did not meet the dress code.
Samantha Hyde said she and her partner were not allowed to eat with the other guests because he was wearing open toe sandals.
They say they were denied entry for their 7.30pm dinner reservation at the Lifehouse Spa and Hotel.
They were given the option to eat in an empty restaurant at 6pm, or dine in their room alone.
The couple had paid £300 for their overnight stay which included dinner and breakfast.
Samantha told the MailOnline: "I just can't believe what happened to us – it was diabolical."

"We were treated like we had been doing something illegal and wrong – it ruined the entire weekend which was meant to be a celebration."
The couple said they were denied entry as the open toed shoes violated the dress code.
Samuel was wearing a pair of £150 designer leather sliders as he had forgotten his other shoes.
The couple said he made the receptionist aware and she called the restaurant to let them know.

Samantha said: "He had a shirt and dinner trousers. I had a dress and a pair of open toed shoes."
They received an email saying the sliders did not meet the dress code and if they did not eat at 6pm their reservation would be cancelled.
The hotel's website says bathrobes and sportswear are welcome at breakfast and lunch, but the dinner dress code is 'smart casual'.
They were told they could eat there and then, even dressed in their swimwear, but not later with the other guests.
The couple decided to leave the hotel, which refused to refund their overnight stay.
They said they felt like they were no longer welcome.
Lifehouse Spa and Hotel told the MailOnline it was looking into the matter.
The Sun has approached them for comment.
