A BRITISH diver has died after he was pulled out of the water unconscious in Cyprus.
The 71-year-old tourist had gone diving in the Moulia area, near Yeroskipou in Paphos when he lost consciousness.
According to the police, the 71-year-old Brit was part of a group of amateur divers who were accompanied by a professional diver.
The group had completed the diving course and had surfaced before boarding the boat back to the shore when the man passed out, Cyprus Mail reports.
The instructor tried to resuscitate the man but to no avail.
Upon arriving at the beach, an ambulance rushed to the scene and transported the Brit to the Paphos hospital where he was pronounced dead.
