‘Non-binary’ Biden official slammed after being fired for stealing luggage: ‘New pronouns are un/employed’

  • Sam Brinton, 35, who joined President Biden’s staff in June is no longer employed by the Department of Energy and is facing criminal charges
  • The former Biden official was accused of stealing luggage at Harry Reid Int’l Airport in Las Vegas and Minneapolis-Saint Paul Int’l Airport in Minnesota
  • Many expressed their reaction to the news of their firing, including ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel: ‘Sam Brinton should have never been hired in the first place’
  • Their next court date is December 19 in Minnesota

A non-binary Biden official was slammed by some conservatives after they were fired for reportedly stealing airport luggage in two separate incidents.

Sam Brinton, 35, an MIT graduate, who joined President Biden’s staff in June and was often in the spotlight for being one of the US government’s first non-binary officials, is now facing a slew of charges and due to appear in court December 19.

On July 6, 2022, Brinton was caught on surveillance allegedly stealing someone’s luggage when traveling through Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas.

The second incident took place two months later on September 16 when the former Biden staffer is accused of swipinhg a woman’s suitcase at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.

Now they are facing ridicule by many on social media – author and conservative personality Nick Adams took to Twitter on Monday tweeting: ‘I’m hearing Sam Brinton’s new pronouns are un/employed.’

Nick Adams tweeted out his reaction to the news of Sam Brinton’s firing on Tuesday morning

While conservative author, Dinesh D’Souza tweeted: ‘#SamBrinton the first non-binary official to be fired by the US government for theft? Since we’re keeping track of these amazing historical ‘firsts,’ I thought I would inquire about this one.’

Senator Tom Cotton, R-Ark. tweeted: ‘Re. Sam Brinton, let’s call it what it is: a person clearly unfit for a high-level national security role was hired because the Admin prioritizes wokeness over competence.’

ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel said, ‘Sam Brinton should have never been hired in the first place.’

Former Trump adviser Katrina Pierson wrote ‘FINALLY! ‘Biden’s non-binary nuclear waste worker Sam Brinton is OUT of their job.’ I wonder exactly where he crossed the line for this Admin.’

A felony warrant for grand larceny was issued for Brinton’s arrest on December 8, who was also accused of stealing luggage at the Las Vegas airport, the 8 News Now Investigators first reported.

Some of the items that Brinton stolen were valued between $1,200 and $5,000, Fox News reported.

On Monday, a Department of Energy spokesperson confirmed that Brinton was no longer a DOE employee.

A DOE spokesperson told The Daily Beast, in part: ‘By law, the Department of Energy cannot comment further on personnel matters.’

In July, Brinton was caught on surveillance allegedly stealing someone’s luggage when traveling through Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas which had nearly $4,000 worth of clothing, jewelry and makeup, Fox News reported

Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza asked in a tweet posted he posted on Monday:”#Sam Brinton is the first non-binary official to be fired by the US government for theft?’

According to the arrest report, a woman who had traveled from Dulles International Airport to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on July 6 filed a police report when she could not locate her suitcase, and after she had checked with the airline.

The stolen suitcase was described in the report as a gray, hard-shelled ‘Away’ brand ‘Bigger Carry-On’ model valued at $320.

The woman told cops her suitcase was a total value of more than $3,670, and it included jewelry, makeup, contact lenses and clothing, according to the report.

When a Las Vegas Metropolitan police officer reviewed surveillance video, the officer ‘observed several nonverbal cues, or body language anomalies, from the suspect, which caught his attention,’ the report stated.

‘Specifically, Brinton pulled the victim’s luggage from the carousel and examined the tag.

‘Then placed it back on the carousel, looking in all directions for anyone who might be watching, or might approach.

‘Pulling it back off the carousel and demonstrating the same behavior by looking around before walking away with it quickly.’

A suspect was not identified until a police officer saw a news article in November naming Brinton as a suspect in luggage theft at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport in September.

The criminal complaint from the incident in Minneapolis describes how Brinton traveled from Washington DC to Minneapolis without a checked bag, but then retrieved one from the luggage carousel once they’d landed in Minnesota.

Surveillance footage from the airport – which is yet to be released – is said to show them removing the luggage tug from the bag and placing it in their handbag.

When cops called Brinton the first time, they played dumb.

Then, Brinton phoned the authorities themselves and admitted to taking the bag but insisted it was a mistake, and that they were simply tired.

Photos in the news stories from Minneapolis matched the suspect in the Las Vegas luggage theft, according to the warrant filed this week.

The warrant revealed that Brinton had posted to Instagram on July 6, the same day of the theft.

The White House has repeatedly refused to comment on the scandal, claiming it is a non-political issue.

The Department of Energy has also tried to distance Biden from the issue.

According to the Office of Nuclear Energy’s website, Brinton worked as a deputy assistant secretary of the office of spent fuel and waste disposition.

‘Sam is also a well-known advocate for LGBTQ youth and helped to secure protections against the dangerous and discredited practice of conversion therapy in more than half of the country,’ it said.

‘They identify as gender-fluid and use the pronouns they, them, and theirs,’ their bio reads.

On top of working in the Department of Energy, they also held seminars including a recent event on spanking.

Brinton lives in Washington DC with their husband.
