A Swedish nurse has won a contest to watch an entire film festival —alone in a lighthouse.
Lisa Enroth will catch the Goteborg Film Festival’s 60-flick program over the course of a week on an isolated island off the coast of Sweden, the BBC reported.
More than 12,000 film buffs from 45 countries applied to watch the movies from Scandinavia’s biggest film festival in isolation at the Pater Noster Lighthouse, which was turned into a small hotel last year.
Enroth, who worked in COVID-19 wards during the pandemic, will spend a week there without a phone, computer, books or any other form of entertainment.
She’ll be given a tablet to watch the movies and record a daily video diary.
Only one other person will be on the island, located some 250 miles from Stockholm, for security.
Enroth said she was looking forward to enjoying “being part of a totally different kind of reality for a week.”
“The wind, the sea, the possibility of being part of a totally different kind of reality for a week – all this is really attractive,” she said.
