Off-duty firefighter’s jaw broken in Bronx brawl over parking spot

Two men attacked an off-duty FDNY firefighter — breaking his jaw and eye socket — in a brawl over a parking space in The Bronx on Saturday, police said.

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD on Sunday shows one man clock the 22-year-old smoke eater in the head, knocking him to the ground.

A woman tries to shield the victim as a group swarms around them, but a second man gets around her and knocks the victim in the head again.

The fight broke out on Chatterton Avenue at 1 a.m., with the victim struck multiple times before he was able to run away, police said.

The firefighter was later taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was treated and has since been released, cops said.

The NYPD is asking for help identifying the attackers in the footage.

The first man is described as in his 20s, about 6-foot, 220 pounds, with a medium complexion and long goatee. He was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a white shirt and black sneakers, according to police.

The second man is described as in his 20s, with a large build, full beard and long dark hair. He was last seen wearing a Puma shirt, Puma shorts and Puma sneakers, cops said.

Cops are asking anyone with information to call the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or http://www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

All calls are confidential.
