Three cops are injured after female ‘drink driver’ rear ended them ‘at 95mph’ before their mangled cruiser erupted in a huge inferno in California

Three cops have been injured after a female driver plowed into the back of their parked cruiser at up to 95mph.
The California Highway Patrol officers, two male and one female, were rushed to hospital after the horrific crash in early this morning.
The vehicle rear-ended the squad car before flipping down the road, with the suspect – who had allegedly been drinking – somehow not seriously injured.
Meanwhile the cop cruiser, which had two of the officers in it and one out of it as they attended a routine stop, was left mangled and later erupted in flames.
They were rushed to hospital with one said to have suffered major injuries while the others’ were moderate.

Shocking video showed flames leaping from the car as medics rushed the patrol officers into ambulances.
EMTs tended to one of the injured officers on a gurney laid out on the highway blacktop, before being lifted while wearing a neck brace.
The video also showed a suspect stumbling away in handcuffs as she was escorted to the back of a police car.
The squad car was swallowed by flames shortly after the collision. A witness saw an officer being pulled from the inferno. The woman’s car left flipped and she walked from the wreck
Two officers who were involved in the collision are reported to be in critical condition. One could be seen in a neck brace while being loaded into an ambulance
Debris was left sprawled across the road as firefighters worked to tackle the blazing inferno.
Witness Robert Martinez, said the woman was driving at 95mph when she struck the patrol car, which had closed of the HOV lane with lit flares behind it.
He said: ‘The driver applied no breaks and went straight into the CHP car. All four wheels off the ground. That car flipped.

The officers had been parked while tending to a collision in the HOV lane when they were struck. Witnesses say they had flares set up, yet the woman hit them without braking
‘The CHP car stayed on the ground. And shortly after is when the CHP car went up in flames.’
Martinez said the woman walked out of her flipped car, and an officer was dragged out of the burning squad car.
The accident took place on EB I-105 near Paramount Boulevard, in Downey, California, at 1:24am on Thursday morning.
