A FURIOUS mum claims a council employee snuck into her back garden to STEAL her wheelie bin – because she was only allowed one.
Hull City Council have admitted swiping the black bin from Monique Evans – despite selling it to her for £30 three and a half years ago.
Now Trading Standards are investigating after the mum-of-three kicked up a stink when the council told her an inexperienced employee wrongly sold her the bin.
Ms Evans, of Bransholme, Hull, East Yorks., said: "The council came into my garden without any permission and took my black bin. I think it is theft.
"Now they have told me that I should only have one black bin and were wrong to sell me one to start with.

"Fine, if we are only supposed to have one that is OK, but I think how they've dealt with everything is wrong.
"They came into my garden, my property and just took it. They stole it from my house.
"I contacted the police. I really think it's a serious issue.
"They are trying to take me for a ride and I think it probably means they are doing it to others too."
Ms Evans said she found the extra bin useful as she has three young children, two of which are still in nappies.
"I put both bins out and they were just collected normally for about three years, until one of the bin men said they will only collect one bin," she said.
"I thought OK, those are the rules, but it was still good to have the other bin. I have three young children, so it was useful to have the other bin, even if just one was collected, as it meant there was somewhere to put the nappies rather than just sat in a bin bag outside.
"Now I've been to trading standards, and they said I should be able to get a larger bin. Although the council never mentioned it."
A Hull City Council spokesman said: "We have explained to Ms Evans that she obtained the second black bin in error.
"Each household in Hull is entitled to a fortnightly waste collection from one black bin.
"The size of bin is allocated in relation to family size and, as a family of four, Ms Evans is entitled to a standard sized bin.
"When two black bins were presented for collection, the mistake was realised and therefore we removed the second bin.
"We have offered to reimburse Ms Evans if any costs were incurred in acquiring the second bin."
Humberside Police and Trading Standards have been contacted for comment.
