A paraglider who fell from the sky and into electric cables in the Dominican Republic is taking his misadventure across the skies in stride.
The man, who has not been identified, was recorded plummeting straight into the wires, but somehow landing safely on the ground. After his fortunate descent, he was even able to tell panicked onlookers his side of the story.
‘I (was) performing a maneuver and I lost control, but all is good,’ the man said after surviving the near-fatal crash in the central city of Constanza on Tuesday afternoon.
The video shows the frantic moment he quickly descends and fights to steer the parachute.
An onlooker could be heard in the background telling a person that the paraglider ‘is going to fall.’

The paraglider walked away under his own power and told locals: ‘I (was) performing a maneuver and I lost control, but all is good’
At one point the paraglider appears to be just several feet above the ground when he miraculously regains control of the parachute.
He is then seen gliding through a side street and slamming onto the sidewalk as concerned residents rushed to his side.
The incident comes nearly three months after Christopher León was killed in a paragliding accident in the Constanza town of La Sabina.

The 33-year-old was sitting behind the pilot, Tomás Batista, when they hit a wind current and crashed.
During the flight, Batista told León that it was his ‘fourth time’ being at the control of the glider before León replied, ‘You are already a pilot.’
At one point while gliding over Sabinas, authorities said that León flew into a wind current, which prevented him from making the necessary adjustments to redirect the paraglide before plummeting from the sky.
