Radio DJ Pat Sharp was let go from his presenting job last night after reducing a woman to tears by making a crude joke about her breasts after handing her a t-shirt with his face on it on stage at an awards show.

Mr Sharp, 61, who was the celebrity guest host at the industry event, ‘humiliated’ events boss Lizzy Eaton in front of 400 people at an industry event last Friday by joking about ‘getting on your t**s’, which she said made her feel ‘violated’.

The star of 1990s ITV children’s game show Fun House, who has hosted a show on Greatest Hits Radio since 2019, said that his contract was due to expire at the end of this month but he will not ‘not return to the station with immediate effect’.

While presenting at the awards show, the ex-I’m a Celebrity contestant gave Ms Eaton a t-shirt adorned with an old photo of him sporting his trademark ’90s mullet captioned: ‘Pat Sharp – AS SEEN ON FUN HOUSE – LOOKING SHARP SINCE 1982’.

He then remarked: ‘That’s the only way I’ll get on your t**ts today.’

The events director then threw the t-shirt at Mr sharp and walked off the stage in tears, the Sun reports.

After the incident at the Conference News Agency Awards at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London, Ms Eaton she slammed Mr Sharp, saying: ‘I was publicly humiliated in a sexual nature, by the celebrity host of an industry event, on stage in front of 400 of my colleagues and peers.

‘Afterwards I was in complete shock and hadn’t really processed what happened. Today I am struggling with it – I feel sad, dirty and, frankly, violated,’ she posted on LinkedIn to business associates.

‘I have worked incredibly hard to earn my reputation and hopefully be an inspiration to other young women in the events industry. Yesterday however, I was belittled, sexualised and objectified in front of hundreds of people I respect.’

The event organisers have since made an apology which Ms Eaton says she has accepted but she said the ‘shame and embarrassment I now feel will be with me for quite some time.’

A peer of Ms Eaton’s who attended the event is said to have ‘called out’ Mr Sharp publically after his lewd comment.

Mr Sharp (pictured) has since made an apology, saying: ‘Last Friday, I made a joke on stage which was not well received. I upset one individual in particular and for that I am truly sorry’

She later said to Ms Eaton on social media: ‘The message you sent walking off that stage, sent a message to so many of our peers and women; We neither have too and will not tolerate this.

‘You stood with such grace and dignity and handled an awful bloody moment with such admirable strength.’

Mr Sharp has since made an apology, saying: ‘Last Friday, I made a joke on stage which was not well received. I upset one individual in particular and for that I am truly sorry.

‘I apologised at the event to anyone who was offended and I have apologised to the individual personally too.’
