Picture of Johnny Depp 'passed out' with ice cream dribbling down his legs shown to court in lawsuit trial with ex-wife

AN IMAGE of Johnny Depp "passed out" with ice cream dribbling down his legs has been shown to the court during his defamation trial with Amber Heard.

The actor claimed the embarrassing photo was staged by his ex-wife after he came home from a long day of filming in Boston.

Depp admitted he had "fallen off the wagon" when another picture was shown of what appears to be cocaine, alcohol and tobacco.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star, 58, is suing Heard for £39million after she called herself a victim of domestic violence in a newspaper article.

She has countersued him for £77million over claims his lawyer made about her.

In the picture, Depp is sitting cross-legged on a leather sofa propped up by a mismatch of pillows.

Wearing a shirt and braces, the actor is said to be passed out with his mouth wide open.

Depp is holding an upturned tub of ice cream, which has dripped all over his leg.

The melted ice cream has also dripped over the sofa and on to the floor in a sticky pool.

Johnny Depp also told his multi-million dollar US libel trial against Heard that she had “pure hatred” for him.

He claimed his marriage descended into “madness, chaos and violence”.

He said Aquaman actress Heard, 35, would lash out and physically attack him, telling the jury in Fairfax, Virginia: “It seemed like pure hatred for me.

"If I stayed to argue I was sure it would escalate into violence and often times it did.

“Miss Heard, in her frustration and her rage and her anger, she would strike out.

"It could begin with a slap, a shove, throwing a TV remote at my head, throwing a glass of wine in my face, but all in all it was just a constant.”

This week in court he claimed he went “from Cinderella to Quasimodo in 0.6 seconds” after she accused him of abuse.

He accused Heard, 35, of blaming him for “quite disturbing and heinous criminal acts” that were not true.

And he told the blockbuster televised court case that he is “obsessed with the truth” and wanted to defend himself and his children by bringing it.

Wearing a black suit, black shirt and floral print tie with his hair pulled back into a ponytail, Depp said: “Through the relationship, there were arguments and things of that nature.

"But never did I myself reach the point of striking Miss Heard in any way nor have I ever struck any woman in my life.

“I thought it was diabolical that my children would have to go to school and have their friends and people in school approach them with the infamous People magazine cover with Miss Heard with a dark bruise on her face.

“Then it just kept multiplying, it kept getting bigger.

“I wanted to clear my children of this horrid thing they were having to read about their father which was untrue."

Depp claims that his career was ruined by an article written by Miss Heard in 2018 for the Washington Post in which she described herself as a survivor of domestic abuse.
