A five-year-old who died in Kerry following an incident involving a quad bike has been named.
George Francis Freddie Davenport, from Folkestone, Kent, will lie in repose today at his grandparents’ home in Liscarney, Cloghane, Tralee, County Kerry, where he and his family had been on holiday.
He is survived by his parents Laura and David, and siblings Cian, Jake and Ellie-Rose.
The community in Kerry is in a state of ‘deep shock’ following his death on the farm on Sunday afternoon.
When the alarm was raised, gardaí and emergency services rushed to the scene.

The boy received emergency first aid at the site before being transported to hospital.
His remains were transferred to University Hospital Kerry for a postmortem examination.
The matter is being treated as a tragic accident, it is understood, and his death notice says that he died suddenly.
A liaison officer has been appointed to support the family, and gardaí have appealed for privacy.
Local councillor Michael O’Shea told the Irish Daily Mail the community is ‘deeply shocked and saddened’ by the tragedy.
He described the boy’s family as ‘very well known and respected here’, adding: ‘There’s not a lot you can say when something like this happens; it’s just one of these unforeseen accidents… My deepest sympathies go to everyone affected.’
Local Fianna Fáil councillor Breandán Fitzgerald also extended his condolences.
‘This is a small community where everyone knows everyone, and we’re all shocked,’ he said.
This is the second incident this year where a young person lost their life in a quad-related accident.
In April, 15-year-old David Brown was killed when he and another youth hit a tree in a woodland in Ballyshaneduff, Ballybrittas, County Laois.
