The family of a three-year-old killed in a horror crash last weekend shared a heartbreaking tribute to the ‘clever little girl’ who is now ‘dancing in the sky.’
Faye Grace Dawson, of Merseyside, died on Saturday when the car she was travelling in collided with a Porsche Boxster on the M6 in Lancashire.
Now, five days after her death, Faye’s family has said words will ‘never express the heartache’ they are feeling.
Although they struggle to see a ‘future’ without their ‘beautiful, brave and funny’ girl, the family says they know ‘angels’ would be looking after her.
Faye’s loved ones added that even though she had been taken too soon, they were ‘so glad’ to have been part of her life.
The three-year-old’s mother and an unnamed man who were travelling in the Vauxhall Meriva with Faye suffered serious injuries during the crash.
They were taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment after the crash. Their current conditions remain unknown.
The horrific collision also took the life of the 79-year-old driver of the Porsche sports car. Their identity has not yet been released.
Faye was killed around 5.50pm on Saturday when a Porsche collided with a Vauxhall Meriva in that the young girl was travelling in.
The car flipped onto its side before bursting into flames.
Faye’s family confirmed her death today in a tribute made public by the Lancashire Constabulary.
They said: ‘Our beautiful Faye Grace, words will never express the heartache we are all going through since you were tragically taken from us.
We can’t see the future without you, it has left a massive hole in our lives.
‘Everyone says how precious their daughter/granddaughter is but you were an exception, you were such a clever little girl who was very funny and had us all laughing all the time.
‘You were so loving and caring and above all very loved by everyone who met you.
‘You’re now at rest with your great nanny, great granddad and Uncle Jimmy.
‘Words won’t justify how much we are all going to miss you and how much we all love you.
‘Your mummy is being so brave and she will continue to make you proud.
‘You were too little to be taken away from us, but we know the angels will look after you and they’re lucky to have you dancing in the sky with them.
‘We are all so heartbroken that you were taken far too young but we are so glad that we got to have you for the time we did.
‘RIP baby girl, we are all missing you and will carry on forever. All our love.’
There were long queues on the M6 last night after the crash, which saw a three-year-old child and 79-year-old man killed
The motorway was closed in both directions for several hours on Saturday, after the crash left two people dead and two others seriously injured.
Two lanes of the southbound carriageway remained blocked on Sunday for emergency surface repairs.
Police have since issued an appeal for witnesses to the fatal collision to come forward.
Sgt Craig Booth, Serious Collision Investigator with Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations Unit, said on Sunday: ‘These are very sad and tragic circumstances.
‘This was a traumatic scene for all witnesses and emergency services involved, I would like to pass on my thanks for their dedication in dealing with an incident which can only be described as horrific.
‘We want to hear from any witnesses to the collision or those who have dashcam footage from the area around the time it happened.’
Anyone with information or who has footage, is asked to call Lancashire Constabulary on 101 – quoting log 1102 of November 19, 2022.
