Pig and kangaroo get down and dirty as owner reveals the pair have been in a relationship for a year

A RAUNCHY pig and a kinky kangaroo engage in some inter-species love-making in the lonely Australian outback.

The randy pair of animals, who have been enjoying a year-long physical relationship, were snapped by PhD boffin Ryan Frazier who was on a research trip in the Northern Territory near Alice Springs.

The amazing pictures show the saucy roo mount the his porky lover – who seemed to be enjoying the attention.

And if the unconventional romp was not bizarre enough, a fascinated goose got a front row seat and watched the whole episode from up-close.

After the passionate tryst, the furry duo held each other close as Ryan and his colleagues watched in amazement.

The Sydney-based academic spoke to the Daily Mail Australia about the jaw-dropping incident.

He said: “I didn't even know it was possible.

“The animals saw us – we met them at the fence and they just stood together in front of us.

“The kangaroo was ripped, a bit aggressive, huffing a bit. But the pig stayed with him, nuzzling under his arm, and the kangaroo was hugging the pig for a while.”

Ryan said he was 'bewildered by the affection'  between the macho kangaroo and the “nonchalant” hog.

He said: “Then the kangaroo started hugging the pig from behind, worked himself up a bit and went for it.

“The pig was totally nonchalant about the whole thing, was not concerned at all.

“We were just standing there like, "this is strange. Should we still be standing here, watching, taking photos"?

“When the kangaroo finished, the pig tried to jump on the back of the kangaroo for a bit, maybe to reciprocate – that's when we decided we'd had enough.'

The steamy countryside romp lasted for between five and 10 minutes and left city boy Ryan and his friends dumbfounded.

At a nearby art gallery, the shocked PHD student was asked by a local man if they had “met the kangaroo and pig?”.

“I said ‘yes, they seem pretty close’” said Ryan.

Ryan added: “He said, ‘yeah, the kangaroo's been heaps calmer since the pig has been in there’.”

In yet another twist to the ‘tail’, the pig’s proud owner Greg Dick revealed that he had tried to keep the besotted beasts apart – but could no longer stands in the way of their love.

Speaking to NT News, he said: “I tried to take the pig away the other day and the kangaroo almost tore the fence down.

“They're in love.”
