Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a man they believe is linked to the suspected gangland murder of Joe Versace.
Versace, who was known to be used as an enforcer for gangs across Perth, was shot twice on Thursday afternoon inside a Gnangara workshop.

Several search warrants were executed over the weekend in the hunt for the 34-year-old’s killer or killers, with homicide squad detectives on Monday appealing to the community to help find Joshua Colin Duperouzel and information about a vehicle believed to be linked to the shooting.
Major crime division Detective Inspector Quentin Flatman said Duperouzel, 25, had some connections to outlaw motorcycle gangs and may have access to a firearm.
“We’re asking people to let us know if they see him, and we’re asking people to be alert but not alarmed,” he said.
“The likelihood of there being any harm to the community is very limited, it’s rare.”
Anyone who sees Duperouzel is asked to call triple zero immediately.
Police are also asking for the public’s help to determine the movements of a black BMW X5, pictured, which was found abandoned in Glen Forrest shortly after the shooting.
It is believed the vehicle may have been present at the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the movements of the BMW in the northern and eastern suburbs on Thursday, September 29 is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch has launched a specialised taskforce to solve the murder.
“This is something that I will not tolerate as commissioner in Western Australia; cold-blooded killings, public acts of violence,” he said.
“We have activated the gang crime squad, they will be executing and have executed a number of search warrants already.”
