Police hunting three men seen on CCTV after heinous rape of woman in UK home

A hunt for three men has been launched by police after the vile rape of a woman.

CCTV images have been shared by Warwickshire Police in an urgent plea for those caught on camera to come forward.

A woman was heinously raped at a house in the typically quiet midlands town of Royal Leamington Spa in the early hours of October 15.

In a bid to aid their investigation police are asking for the public to help identify the three young men pictured, who could by key to bringing the victims attackers to justice.

Detective Sergeant Pete Sherwood from Leamington CID said: 'This is a significant investigation into the rape of a woman.

'I'm particularly interested in identifying these men who we believe may be able to help with our investigations.

'I'd urge the people in these photos to come forward or anyone who knows them or has any other information that could help with our enquiries to contact Warwickshire Police.'

Any information which may help in the investigation can call police on 101 quoting incident 102 of 15 October 2021.

Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) data revealed only 47% of rape prosecutions in Warwickshire led to convictions in 2020/21, the lowest rate of any county in England and Wales.

According to the Office for National Statistics, in the year ending March 2020 it its estimated that 1.6 million adults aged 16 to 74 years had been raped.

Of those victims almost half had been a victim more than once.

Those figures are despite fewer than 16% of victims reporting their assault to the police for reasons including they did not think they could help.

Worryingly 34% refused to report it through fear of the investigation being humiliating.
