Predatory TikTok rapper, 27, who launched vile sex attack spree jailed for life – but cops fear there's more victims

A PREDATORY TikTok rapper who launched a vile sex attack spree has been jailed for life – but cops fear there's more victims.

Francis Mukendi, 27, was ordered to spend a minimum of 15 years behind bars over six sex assaults of women aged between 20 – 32.

Now detectives are appealing for other victims to come forward after reviewing hours of footage found on his laptop and phone.

Dubbed the 'Camden Doorstep Rapist', the TikTok rapper ambushed the women as they were walking home alone at night in the Camden area of north London between September 2017 and December 2019.

The attacks took place once the victims reached their doorsteps or communal stairwells.

While distracted when getting their keys out, Mukendi would approach them from behind with a weapon – on one occasion with a hammer and on others with a knife.

He would then force them to perform oral sex on him and once finished, or was interrupted, he would run away.

He filmed at least two of the attacks. Police found a MacBook under his bed and recovered a video clip of a woman weeping as she was being raped in a hallway.

He was found guilty at Wood Green Crown Court, following a six-week trial, of four counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape, two counts of sexual assault and four counts of possession of a bladed article.

But police are launching an appeal to find more victims after reviewing over 100 hours of CCTV and footage discovered on his laptop and phone.

The rapes went unsolved for several years until a renewed police appeal and the release of a CCTV still led to Mukendi, who posted on TikTok as 'Raver Artist', handing himself into police.

In one animated video posted on YouTube in 2020 he even raps 'I'm fed up. I ain't had no sex so I'm stressed out."

Officers say after reviewing evidence in the case that he was "exceptionally forensically and digitally aware".

'DOORSTEP RACIST'

Police say he was able to avoid capture for years by knowing where CCTV cameras were and wearing gloves to stop his fingerprints from being traced during his attacks.

Mukendi assaulted his first victim in September 2017 by waiting for her by a doorway, telling her to get down on her knees and putting a knife on her neck.

The woman described feeling terrified as she was forced to perform oral sex on Mukendi as he pressed a knife to her throat before her flatmate opening her front door and scared the 'doorstep rapist' away.

He committed offences against six women who all lived around the Camden area.

All of the women reported the attack against them immediately.

When detectives searched Mukendi's home address, they found clothing which matched that seen being worn by the suspect in the CCTV.

A laptop was also seized and although Mukendi had attempted to delete video footage he recorded of the attack on 21 September 2017, but this was recovered.

A zombie knife and a lock knife believed to be used in the attacks were also recovered from his home address.

Police say the reason why they suspect there are more victims is due to investigations of his personal devices found pictures and videos of other women.

'VERY VERY DANGEROUS'

Andy Carter, BCU Commander for Camden and Islington, said: "Rape is a very complicated offence in which to investigate and in particular this set of horrific crimes have had a traumatic effect on the victims concerned.

"He's a very, very, very dangerous individual who was following women alone near their home address.

"You can't get more serious and dangerous than that.

"I want to pay tribute to the amazing victims who through their bravery, their strength of character to see the case through and support the investigation."
