SHOPPERS can get vaccinated in Primark this weekend – as the NHS tries to encourage younger people to get the jab.
The health service is running a massive “Grab-a-Jab” event, with pop-up clinics appearing in shops, parks, golf courses, art galleries, and on street corners around the country.
It means people can get vital protection against Covid while sunbathing in the hot weather or browsing for new outfits ahead of Freedom Day.
The drive comes as search showed almost 100 per cent of people who had two doses of vaccine tested positive for antibodies.
But the number of people coming forward for a jab has plummeted to its lowest level – driven by vaccine-hesitant youngsters.
NHS medical director Dr Nikki Kanani said: “You can pop into Primark, enjoy the sun in the park and explore the art at the Tate while also protecting yourself and your loved ones by getting a vaccine this weekend.
“From high street shops to mosques and sports grounds, our incredible staff together with our wonderful volunteers are doing all they can to make sure it is easier than ever for people, particularly young adults to get protected.
“So while you’re out enjoying the glorious weather this weekend, do your bit and ‘grab a jab’ too.”
Last month the NHS opened up walk-in vaccine centres to members of the public who had not yet scheduled a Covid jab.
All Brits over the age of 18 can now book a Covid jab.

NHS staff will be jabbing at the Tate Modern art gallery on Friday evening where DJ and influencer Zoe London will also be performing.
Shoppers will be able to get a jab at Primark in Bristol and the Trinity retail centre in Leeds.
Primark is one of the retailers that will still require shoppers to wear masks once restrictions are lifted on Monday.
The British Open golfing championship in Sandwich, Kent, is also joining the push with a GP-led clinic dubbed the “vaccine caddies” offering a dose to eligible to golfers, caddies, staff and the 30,000 daily spectators.
So far in the UK over 46 million Brits have had a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine, with 35.3 million now being fully vaccinated.
