'Prime suspect' Joskar Ramos arrested after Joliet Township Halloween shooting that left two dead and 12 hurt

THE MAN police believe is a "prime suspect" in a Halloween shooting that left two dead and 12 hurt has been arrested.

On Sunday, gunmen opened fire at a house party in Joliet Township, southwest of Chicago, killing two and injuring 12.

Joskar Sebastian Ramos, 18, does not yet face any charges in connection with the weekend's shooting, CBS2 reported.

He was instead arrested on an active warrant that occurred while he was a juvenile.

VICTIMS IDENTIFIED

He was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, obstructing justice and illegal possession of ammunition. He is being held on a $1million bond.

The two people who died were later identified as 22-year-olds Holly Matthews and Jonathan Ceballos.

Following the shooting, Matthews' fiancé, Adam Gregurich, told the outlet he is seeking justice.

A sheriff's patrol sergeant heard 10 to 12 gunshots fired in the area of Jackson Street and Walnut Street early Sunday morning, the Will County Sheriff's Office said in a news release.

The officer responded and saw more than 100 people fleeing eastbound on Jackson street.

Investigators have since determined the shooting unfolded near a DJ booth set up in the backyard of a home.

TWO SHOOTERS

Witnesses told detectives two people fired on the crowd of nearly 200 from a porch overlooking the party.

One of the gunmen was described as a Hispanic male wearing a red hoodie. The second shooter was described as a light-skinned man wearing a ski mask and yellow hoodie.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene while at least four of the dozen injured were transported to local hospitals to be treated for gunshot wounds.

Witnesses told CBS2 how the party quickly descended into a nightmare.

'BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS'

“You could just tell something was going to happen,” said a party guest named Nathan. “I never thought my friend was going to die.

“I just heard people screaming, saying: ‘There’s bodies on the floor! People are getting hit!’” Nathan said. “I seen people come out with blood on their hands.”

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

"Detectives with the Will County Sheriff's Office began conducting interviews at various locations and the Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force was activated in order to assist detectives with conducting interviews," the sheriff's office said.

Matthews' fiancé Adam Gregurich said: "This whole time I keep thinking I’m going to wake up she’s going to be like, ‘I’m okay'.

"We were the best when we were together."
