Returning to work after giving birth is a lot of responsibility for any new mum to carry.

But Princess Eugenie had a more literal burden when she was spotted outside the Central London art gallery where she works last week, laden down with three bags and a water bottle carrier.

But with the Louis Vuitton Capucines bag costing £5,150 and the London Velvet water holster at £240, she looks like anything but a bag lady.

The Princess also carried a £45 tote bearing her workplace’s logo and – perhaps something more familiar to the rest of us – a Deliveroo paper bag.

It is the first time Eugenie has been spotted at Hauser & Wirth, where she is a director, since giving birth to her son August in February last year. The tot made his first public appearance at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June, left, with mum and dad Jack Brooksbank.

At the gallery, Eugenie’s ensemble included a sleeveless belted coat in burgundy by Topshop, which she was first spotted wearing in December 2015 and which sold for around £79.

Her knee-high boots, by Florence-based designer brand Aquazzura, cost £855.

An onlooker said: ‘For a first-time mum dealing with the demands of both a young baby and a busy career, she looks extremely stylish.’
