A bar worker claims she was inundated with abuse and called a 'useless employee' and a 'poser' by an assistant manager after she handed in her notice.
Kiara Claire, 18, sent a text to the manager to inform them she would be leaving her role at the King's Ransom pub in Sale, Greater Manchester.
She had already informed them she would be taking a trial shift for the new job, and pub bosses were initially supportive of her decision, the Manchester Evening News reports.
In the message, she told the assistant manager: "I can't thank you and the rest of the team more than enough for giving me a job."
But she was "shocked and devastated" to receive a response she says was from her assistant manager, which included claims she was interrupting his wedding day on Saturday, July 3.
The message read: "As you have had the level of disrespect to message me, with this meaningful nonsense. ON MY WEDDING DAY. I would like to give you some home truths.
"You have no initiative. You are a vacuous poser. You are too focused on how you look and not what you do.
"You are a useless employee. You would rather text than do your job. You should be embarrassed about this.
"But hear my words. Because they will do you a favour.
"Nobody is interested in YOU. Your work ethics are the only thing matter. Focus on the job and stop focusing on yourself.
"Beauty will fade. Dumb b**** is forever."
Kiara said she initially thought the response was a joke, but her friends and relatives quickly became concerned when she told them about it.

She said: "It was only until the next morning when I reread it that I started to get upset about it because the way it had been set out looked like he was being quite serious about it.
"I suffer from anxiety and it was quite shocking and upsetting to read. It did make me feel worse, it knocked my confidence.

"When I told my mum, she was really angry.
"She tried to ring him and when he eventually answered he denied it was him and that his friends had used his phone."
Kiara's mum posted the message on social media and the post has since been circulated widely online, and the teenager has received messages of support from all over the country.
The King's Ransom pub has since said it is investigating the incident.
Posting on Facebook, the boozer's general manager wrote: "I am aware of a message circulating on social media between a member of staff and My Assistant Manager.
"As the General Manager of The Kings Ransom, I would like to assure you we take matters like this very serious & the matter is currently being investigated as a matter of Urgency.
“I would like to apologise on behalf of The Kings Ransom for any distress caused.
"As a matter of due process, we will not be commenting any further on this matter."
