Prince Harry could be summoned for a sit-down talk with the Queen while he is back in the UK this week, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex has flown back to the UK from his home in Montecito, California, where he lives with Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet, to unveil a new statue of his late mother Princess Diana.
The statue, which will sit in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace, was commissioned by Prince Harry and his brother Prince William in 2017 and the brothers will unveil it together on Thursday, July 1.
The last time Prince Harry was in the UK was when he attended his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in April.
The Duke of Sussex was said to have received a "frosty" reception from some of the Royal Family, following a number of outspoken claims he has made about growing up and life in the palace in recent times.
And, following those claims, a royal commentator has said it is possible the Queen will summon the Duke of Sussex so the pair can reconcile, as the divide is currently "as wide as the Grand Canyon".
Marlene Koening, a royal author and expert who runs the Royal Musings website, told the Daily Star the Queen may reach out as the "loving grandmother" to talk to Prince Harry while he is back in the UK.
She said: "It is possible that the Queen, who is at Windsor, may request her grandson's presence and have a sit-down."
She added: "I would think he might just want to come in, get this over with and go home.
"I think she will be the loving grandmother, but she might just want to have a talk with him and that's important. Talking is important.
"That's the first step for anybody wanting to approach some sort of reconciliation or understanding and right now the divide is probably as wide as the Grand Canyon.

The Duke of Sussex appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden where he spoke about his need to get his family out of the "toxic" environment they were in during their life in the UK.
He also commented that he moved Archie and Meghan to the US to "break the cycle" of "genetic pain and suffering" from his own childhood in an appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard and appeared to suggest he disagreed with some of the decisions hs own dad, Prince Charles, made during their upbringing.
