TV star Rachel Riley slams ‘disgusting’ Johnny Depp t-shirt she claims is ‘profiteering and cheerleading domestic abuse’… days after saying she ‘wouldn’t wish actor on her worst enemy’
- ‘Flappy Fish Market T-Shirt’ references unpleasant Depp remark about Heard
- The slogan is available on t-shirts for $22 as well as mugs and face masks for $15
- Rachel Riley tweeted that the decision to sell the t-shirt was an ‘absolute bin fire’
- She is a staunch supporter of Heard, previously attacking Depp as a ‘monster’
As the blockbuster defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard screeches into its final week, TV star Rachel Riley has waded in again by slamming a Depp t-shirt being sold online.
The Countdown maths whizz, 36, who last week said she wouldn’t wish Depp ‘on her worst enemy’, has lambasted a t-shirt which is emblazoned ‘Flappy Fish Market’.
It references an inflammatory comment the Pirates of the Caribbean star made about his then-wife Heard in a text to his business manager in August 2016, three months after the couple decided to divorce.
‘I have no mercy, no fear and not an ounce of emotion, or what I once thought was love for this gold digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market,’ said the text which has been used as evidence in court.
Riley has now described the clothing, designed and sold by Third Unit and available through online t-shirt portal Teepublic, as ‘absolute bin fire’.
‘Profiteering and cheerleading domestic abuse,’ she wrote on Twitter. ‘What about absolute bin fire.’
The description on the website says: ‘Gold digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market! — Johnny Depp, allegedly wrote just three months after he said he decided to divorce Amber Heard.’
The store is selling shirts and other items emblazoned with the logo celebrating the phrase for $22, with mugs and face masks selling for $15 each. Kids’ t-shirts sell for the same price as adult t-shirts.

One of Heard’s pals, Eve Barlow, also described the products as ‘vile’.

Depp has been accused of domestically abusing Heard on a number of occasions and encompassing their short lived marriage between February 2015 and August 2016.
Riley had said that she ‘wouldn’t wish’ Depp on her ‘worst enemy’ on Wednesday as she shared a Twitter thread which called the actor ‘problematic’.
She retweeted the post, which makes allegations about Depp’s past prior to his relationship with Heard, including his friendship with Marilyn Manson, who was hit with allegations of physical and sexual abuse by ex-fiancée Evan Rachel Wood and several other women in early 2021. Manson denies the allegations.
The Twitter thread also alleged that ‘Johnny groomed Winona Rider when she was 17 and he was nearing 30’ and claimed the actor had a ‘history of homophobia’, though there is no evidence to substantiate these claims.

Heard has alleged that Depp dragged her by her hair and pulled chunks out during a 2015 bust up as one of numerous allegations of domestic abuse by Depp
Riley previously wrote on May 4, ‘I still don’t understand how anyone can defend this man’ after posting excerpts from a High Court civil trial in London last year when Depp sued The Sun newspaper for libel over its labelling him a ‘wife beater’.
Depp lost the trial after the judge concluded that the allegation was ‘substantially true’ with a 129 page judgement.
‘I can only imagine anyone defending him has not read this judgment, and hopes no one else has either,’ she added.
Riley then shared another tweet from domestic abuse researcher Emma Katz, which included a link to an article from the National Domestic Violence Hotline in the US, titled ‘The Myth of Mutual Abuse’.
The piece said: ‘Many times, we speak with survivors of abuse who want to address concerns they have about their own behaviors.’
Depp has denied his ex-wife’s allegations of abusive behaviour and recently declared in court he has lost ‘nothing less than everything’ as a result of the claims.
Asked what he has lost following the publication of Heard’s op-ed, he said: ‘Nothing less than everything.
‘When the allegations were made [and] rapidly circling the globe, telling people I was a drunken cocaine-fuelled menace who beat women – suddenly in my 50s – it’s over. You’re done.’
