A fuming Prince Philip warned the late Queen Elizabeth not to watch Netflix’s hit show The Crown as he considered suing the producers over a scene involving the tragic death of his sister in a plane crash, reports claim.
The former Duke of Edinburgh was said to be raging over the dramatisation of the catastrophe, which saw his beloved sister, Princess Cecilie, killed alongside six others whilst she was eight months pregnant.
Royal expert Tessa Dunlop told TalkTV that the top royal warned his monarch wife it would “irritate her” if she watched it.

She added: "This was in an earlier episode where Philip as a child was portrayed as being in some way responsible for his beloved sister Cecile's death, not just her death but what wiped out the entire family.
"It was a fabrication, this young Philip was given agency in her decision to fly, that was nonsense.
"For us, they were just a half-forgotten past that most of us haven't lived through except of course the very old Duke who lived it all and understandably, it felt raw.
"He watched and I believe he told the Queen not to watch it.”
Charles doesn't want to 'humiliate' Prince Harry and Andrew further, says expert
Prince Philip was reportedly so mad about the incident that he consulted a law firm to ask about the possibility of bringing legal action.
It’s not the only time members of The Firm have struggled with depictions of events in the Netflix show – King Charles apparently stopped watching The Crown after it became "too painful" as the representation of his marriage with the late Princess Diana came to the screen.
"Charles watched it and stopped watching it at the last series because he felt that it got too close to the bone,” royal author Katie Nicoll claimed.
