This is the stately mansion where Richard Gere is living with his stunning third wife, Alejandra Silva, and their two young boys.
DailyMail.com can reveal that the 72-year-old Pretty Woman actor splashed out $9.98million for Northshire, his new 35-acre estate in one of New York City’s most exclusive suburbs.
The famously private Buddhist star hid the purchase by registering it to a Los Angeles trust company that he has used in the past to buy and sell property.
But neighbors told DailyMail.com that he moved in recently with Alejandra, 38, after stringing Buddhist prayer flags across the drive to the seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom manor house in North Salem, New York, a hamlet an hour north of Manhattan.

Northshire, a seven-bedroom, nine-bathroom, red-brick manor, is located an hour north of Manhattan in an affluent enclave of Westchester County
The home was listed for sale in 2020 and includes an impressive 9,000 square feet of living space and spacious chef’s kitchen
The property – built in 1934 – has been renovated with elegant upgrades and includes a loft-like guest suite and a combination media room/gym
Neighbors told DailyMail.com the Pretty Woman actor recently moved into the neighborhood with wife Alejandra
The loved-up couple has also put a compound in another New York suburb – where they married in 2018 – on the market for $28million, according to Dirt, a webzine that covers the property dealings of the rich and famous.
The Hollywood veteran had lived in the palatial Pound Ridge mansion for over two decades and built the massive property over 10 years of separate transactions.
The massive estate sits on 50 acres of land situated about 50 miles from Manhattan, and it also borders 4,300 acres of protected land.
The compound includes an impressive five separate residences that are located all around the property. Its spacious three-story main house contains 19 rooms for a total of 11,600 square feet of living space.
Before being smitten by leggy Spanish-born Alejandra, Gere lived there with his second wife, actress Carey Lowell, and their son, and the move was designed to break with his past as a ‘notorious ladies’ man,’ DIRT speculated.
The Georgian mansion was built for Richard W. Woolworth, an heir to the American company that owned the British high street chain

The Northshire mansion – which features a wine cellar – is a downsize from Gere’s previous home which was 11,658 square feet in size and sat on 50 acres of land
‘Out with the old,’ the report taunted, noting that Gere’s reputed conquests range from first wife, Cindy Crawford, to Barbra Streisand.
His new home was built in 1934 for Richard W. Woolworth, an heir to the American company that owned the British high street chain.
Known in the US as a five-and-dime store and beloved for its sweet pick-n-mix selection, Woolies fell went into bankruptcy in 2008 and all 800 of its stores closed.
But in the firm’s heyday, money was no object for Richard Woolworth, who created ‘an impressive Georgian Manor of enduring beauty,’ gushed a 2018 ad for the estate.
It is said to have been modeled on Groombridge Place, a moated 17th century house in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.
In 2012 the impressive manor was featured on the cover of British House & Garden.
Gere’s new home features a large outdoor pool as well as an indoor lap pool built in a former greenhouse
While the main house is a sprawling 9,000 square feet, the couple also spent $700,000 on a vacant neighboring parcel to bring the total size of their new property to 35 acres

But an acquaintance told DailyMail.com: ‘It’s tiny compared to the place he’s selling, which is on almost 50-acres and has its own football field.

Their new neighbors include David Letterman and Jenn Gates, the 25-year-old daughter of billionaires Bill and Melinda Gates, whose $2million wedding ceremony to horse rider Nayel Nassar last year was held on a 146-acre estate she owns on a country lane one mile from Northshire.

Gere previously owned a compound in the Hamptons that he attempted to sell for $65million, although he eventually settled for $33.75million.
The Hollywood actor, who has been married three times, met third wife Alejandra Silva – who is 34 years his junior – in 2014 at a luxury Italian boutique hotel she owned with her former husband.
The couple married in April 2018 and welcomed their first son Alexander in February 2019. They announced the birth of their second son in April 2020.
