Rishi Sunak reveals his favourite McDonald's order… but it hasn't been on the menu for more than two YEARS | The Sun

RISHI Sunak today proudly revealed his go-to McDonald's order – before it emerged his favourite breakfast wrap was taken off the menu YEARS ago.

The ex-Chancellor was grilled by Rochelle Humes and Andi Peters in an interview on This Morning today when the major blunder was made.

Responding to the “killer question” of what his go-to McDonald’s order is, Mr Sunak boasted: “When I'm with my daughters we will get the wrap.

“The wrap with the hash brown and everything in it is what we do.”

But the Maccies breakfast wrap was slashed from menus across Britain in March 2020 because of Covid.

In January this year the chain confirmed the heart-breaking news that it will never return.

The underdog leadership contender was quizzed on his favourite order in response to a pic posted on his Instagram story yesterday.

The snap showed the millionaire ex-Chancellor at a Maccies successfully using a tap and go card machine.

More MPs now publicly back Liz Truss to be PM than Rishi Sunak

Mr Sunak was slammed as out of touch earlier this year when video footage captured him at a Sainsbury’s petrol station unsure how to tap and pay.

Since then, the wealthy ex-Chancellor has been on a mission to prove he’s a man of the people.

But that campaign quickly suffered a major blow when he was spotted wearing £450 Prada Shoes to a building site.

Hitting back at the haters, Mr Sunak told This Morning: “I think in our country, we judge people by their character and by their actions, not by what's in their bank account.

“People can judge me by my record and my values.”

Away from the golden arches Mr Sunak sent shockwaves across Britain today when he confessed he’s partial to a portion of traditional fish and chip grub in the pub, but “can't stand peas".

There’s less than three weeks to go until the next PM is announced.

Liz Truss is hot favourite to win the race to Downing Street, with the latest polling by YouGov putting her 32 ahead of rival Mr Sunak.

The ex-Chancellor is adamant he will fight on until the very end.

He even told This Morning he “definitely” still has a shot at the prize.
