A series of royal scandals are set to "take a toll" on the Queen after she's been "drip-fed negativity", an insider has warned.

The Queen has seen issues come through around the Royal Family during the year of her Platinum Jubilee.

Her Majesty is celebrating a milestone year after becoming the longest-reigning British monarch but other royals’ issues are causing a “tumultuous” time, the source claims.

The Queen, 95, has recently been hit with health concerns after testing positive for Covid and an overnight stay in hospital in October, which has only just seen her recently return to further royal duties.

On top of her health concerns, Her Majesty has also had to contend with the recent settlement with Prince Andrew over sexual assault allegations, which he denied, as well as ongoing tensions with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after their move to the US.

The latest issue has come from the Metropolitan Police after they launched an investigation into an alleged cash-for-honours scandal following Prince Charles and his former close confidant Michael Fawcett being reported over claims.

Clarence House has denied Charles knew anything about the allegations being investigated.

Speaking to People, a Buckingham Palace insider said: "It's a drip-feed of negativity for the monarch.

"I've not known such a tumultuous time as this."

They added: “It just feels to be one thing after another for the Queen. It's going to take a toll."

The Queen is currently continuing with “light duties” as she isolates after testing positive for Covid and is displaying mild cold-like symptoms.

Her Majesty was forced to cancel her planned virtual engagements yesterday after continuing to suffer from symptoms, announced Buckingham Palace.

The monarch tested positive for the virus on Sunday but was still able to issue a message of condolence to the Brazilian president over flooding in his country while self-isolating at Windsor Castle on Monday.

The Queen is set to host a Diplomatic Reception on March 2, where she will meet hundreds of members of the Diplomatic Corps at Windsor.

Her Majesty is also due to attend the Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey on March 14 and then the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service, also at the Abbey, on March 29.

It is unknown whether the recent outbreak of Covid within the Royal Family, as both Charles and Camilla also tested positive in the last few weeks, will cause any changes to forthcoming plans.
