A MONSTER tried to rape a mum on a walk with her young children – before attempting to sexually assault her four-year-old daughter too.
Anthony Williams, 43, who had never met his victims before, pounced on the mother as she walked with the little ones in broad daylight.
In scenes of "unspeakable" horror, he headbutted her, ordered her to undress and threatened to throw the youngest child in the river.
As she tried desperately to protect her children, Williams pushed her eldest face-down into nettles and attempted to rape her as well.
Today, the sick beast was jailed for 24 years – as the little girl's dad looked him in the eye and called him a "f***ing animal".
The mum told Swansea Crown Court she will be "haunted forever" by memories of lying in the mud next to her girl as Williams tore at their clothes.
"She was screaming, 'It hurts'," she said.
"All I could do was put my head to hers and say, 'It's ok, mummy's here'."
'HE'S A F***ING ANIMAL'
Prosecutor Robin Rouch QC told the court the mother had a "bad feeling" when she saw Williams walking towards her.
He initially walked past – but turned and began to follow the family before pushing them off the path and ordering her to undress.
As she did, he asked: "Do you want your kids to survive this?"
He forced himself onto her before ordering her to undress her daughter.
After the attack, he ordered them to walk away – and said: "I'm going away for life."
The mum was able to flag down a passing cyclist, who then called police.
She said the horror of the attack hit her like a "wave", adding: "The sadness is overwhelming. This is a nightmare no parent should have to endure."

The little girl's dad told the court that when he saw his family at the police station, they "looked like rape victims".
"Anthony Williams has given us a life sentence," he said.
Williams, of Haverfordwest in Wales, admitted two attempted rapes and one attempted rape of a girl under 13.
Judge Geraint Walters told the defendant that his attack had been "unspeakable".
"What possessed you that day isn't something I can fully understand," he said.
"The facts are truly disturbing – that is not an overstatement.
"You subjected your victims to a terrifying ordeal that will have a lifelong impact on them.
"It must be the worst nightmare of any lone mother in defence of her children."
The judge said Williams is dangerous – and can only ever be released after a minimum of 16 years when a Parole Board consider him 'safe'.
